Idaho Falls Tea Party Organizers Meet with Senator Crapo on May 25, Memorial Day. The Senator was presented with the signed Copy of the Declaration of Independence.  He signed the document and will now carry it to Washington to try to present it to President Obama.  The movement is making a difference and it is imperative that we keep the momentum.

What we are protesting...
We are Idaho Citizens who have had enough of Congress borrowing, spending, and taxing away our future. It seems every time we turn around the ever-expanding government announces a new bailout package, "stimulus" plan or budget increase.  The government is putting our nation's financial security at risk. The Idaho Falls Tea Party protests massive overspending and increases in the size and scope of the federal government.

On April 15th, approximately 1,200 people gathered at the Veteran's Memorial to voice our opposition to out of control spending at all levels of government.  Like Representative McClintock stated at the Sacramento Tea Party, "We are here because we, as a people, are awakening to the danger of a government that spends too much and borrows too much and taxes too much, because we know what that means.

We know that you can't spend your way rich.

We know that you can't borrow your way out of debt.

And we know that you can't tax your way to prosperity."
